Alan Gardner
Alan Gardner, MBA, leads all of RxResults' operational efforts. Before joining RxResultsSM, Alan served as director of patient systems and process improvement at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), a large academic health care center with 10,000 employees.
Prior to joining UAMS, Alan served as president and chief operating officer of Remettra, an electronic health care payment and remittance advice business process outsourcing (BPO) company. Alan has also served as the director of operations for National Medical Health Card (NMHC), a prescription benefit management company headquartered in New York. While at NMHC, his responsibilities included site management for the Little Rock regional office. Alan has also held information technology positions at other medical centers including the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Alan is actively involved in national standards organizations and consortiums including the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) and the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI). At NCPDP, he is currently on the NCPDP Board of Trustees, has served six years as co-chair for two technical workgroups, and has served on several committees. Alan currently serves as a transactions co-chair at WEDI. Alan has co-authored implementation guides for national standards which have been adopted by states across the country.
Alan's leadership in standards organizations and consortiums has earned him a distinguished service award from WEDI and two distinguished member award nominations from NCPDP.
